Why integrate mindfulness in a business workshop?

Business involves people and people involve emotions. The business world thrives when we intentionally integrate mindfulness.

Mindfulness means to be completely aware in the present moment, observe our body sensations, emotions and thoughts, and accept them without judgement. Countless research shows that when we allow and accept emotions also in the business context, it leads to a more empathetic environment, relieves stress and improves everyone’s well-being, decision-taking and communication.

Last week, I participated in a very special 3-day business workshop organized by Amanau Spain. The program invited entrepreneurs and leaders to consciously reflect on 2023 and define an efficient business strategy for 2024. To guarantee the best result, the approach of Amanau aimed to identify and let go of our (often unconscious) fears and blockades. I got to know the team and their incredible work last year, and I was delighted when they invited me to collaborate with Little healthy habits.

The agenda included different group, 1-2-1 coaching and mastermind activities to formulate our weekly, monthly and annual objectives. To recharge our energy and to be able to be present – mentally, physically and emotionally – I took the group through different mindful breaks, movement and meditative sessions.

The combination resulted in an amazing learning experience for the whole group, maintained our level of concentration despite the long days,
and created a beautiful space to learn from each other. 

Everyone coincided that it had been the “human part”, the connection and being able to share our emotions so honestly and vulnerably, going quite deep into our beliefs, that had allowed the result: When you are aware of what holds you back, it’s easier to address it and move forward.

We all left with a clear plan for 2024 but more important than that: well-reflected, energetic and feeling ready to put our plan into practice.

I still feel very grateful for the magical experience and community and every single person who participated, for what we created together.
And I am excited for the path and goals I have designed for myself for the next months.
